RULES:
Shoot the bad guys. Most bad guys have a visual indicator (which I call a "lock") that indicates when they will attack. The indicator will change color based on how much time until they fire, going from green, to yellow, to red. There are also 2 lines on the opposite sides of the indicator which travel towards each other. When they meet at the top, the enemy will fire. When a threat is neutralized, the indicator turns blue before disappearing. To reload, fire off the screen. Don't shoot the good guys. Shooting a good guy will count against your score and takes off a life. Quick note about being hit: You have a brief moment of invincibility which allows you to get shot or shoot an innocent without losing another life. Projectiles can be shot to destroy them and eliminate their threat. Projectiles are the things that you can see coming at you: grenades, knives, and missiles. Powerups are revealed by shooting certain bad guys. Shoot a powerup to pick it up. Justice Shot: Awarded by hitting either the weapon or the gun hand of an enemy. Obviously, this can't be performed on bosses. 3-Point Shot: Awarded by shooting a bad guy twice more after neutralizing him. You cannot perform this on bosses or people that have special death animation's (like falling off a ledge, getting blown by an explosion, or tumbling down stairs.) You also can't perform this on someone that you Justice Shot, and vice versa. POWERUPS: CMF Letters: 3 different letters: C, M, and F. Collect one of each to earn an extra Life. They do not have to be in any kind of order, so if you see one, try to pick it up. Briefcase: Shoot this for points and to reveal 3 Disks. Disks: Shoot for points. AK-47: For when you absolutely positively have to kill every goddamn motherfucker in the room; accept no substitutes. Gives you fully automatic firing. You only get 43 bullets, and you can't reload. You lose it when you exhaust all the bullets or you have to continue. Grenade: Shoot this and it will explode and kill anything within a certain radius. Body Armour: Allows you to take a hit without losing a Life. You lose it after you get shot. BAD GUYS: Generic: These guys appear, lock on, and shoot you if not killed first. They can drop CMF letters, Briefcases, AK-47's, Grenades, or Body Armour when killed. Knife Man: These guys pop up close suddenly and try to slash you. If successful, they then vanish. These guys aren't nearly as fast as the VC knifers. Grenadier: Throws grenades at you. His grenades can be shot and destroyed. If killed fast enough, they will drop a Grenade. If not shot, they vanish after throwing 3 grenades. Rocket Launcher: They've really brought out the heavy artillery. He fires missiles at you which can be shot down. If not shot, they vanish after firing 3 rockets. Extra: These guys pose no threat to you. They never attack, and are only seen briefly, often peeking out from corners or running across doorways. Some of these guys drop Body Armour or Briefcases when shot. MY TIPS: Pay attention to the enemy's lock-ons, especially in the later levels. Know who will fire sooner, and elimate enemies accordingly. Granted, this is usually never a problem. Picking up powerups can be surprisingly difficult (damn Starblaster), so you decide if you want to risk getting shot. Always go for CMF letters and Body Armour; they are worth getting hit for. Projectiles travel slowly, so elimate any shooters first (unless the projectile is really close.) That's really all the special advice I can give you here. ABOUT THIS GUIDE: This guide is a pretty rough overview of the game. It is not meant to tell you where EVERY single bad guy is. It is mainly meant to point out the extras, innocents, powerups, and guys likely to surprise you. It also contains area hints, destruction notes, and boss tips. When I say bad guy, shooter, enemy, and anything nonspecific, I mean a generic bad guy. Innocents are also referred to as civilians, hostages, and basically anyone I don't refer to as hostile or extra. Lock-on means those indicators that appear around threats, and those mean that you are about to be attacked. 2P denotes things that appear when 2 people are playing. CHEATS/UNLOCKABLES: (Dreamcast) Every Mode: Before the demo, hold L, R, A, Y, Start, and left on controller 1 (alternatively, Start, L, R, A, B, Y, right, ANALOG STICK left on controller 2) until the demo ends. Then release start and press it again. I never did get this to work... Unlimited Credits: Exhaust all your credits a total of 12 times. No Display: Play the game for more than 3 hours (total, you don't have to do it in one sitting); Now, the lock-ons and screen displays (life, score, ammo, ect.) are gone. Another Level: Beat the game once and all the Agent Academy Missions. This is the main game with some cosmetic differences and some different bad guy placement. Additional Academy Classes: Beat Another World Mode. Now you have more training missions. Extra Guns: Beat the first 18 Agent Academy missions and your characters get golden guns. Beat the additional Agent Academy Missions for SEGA lightguns. Screensaver (sort of): Pause the game and don't touch any buttons. After a few minutes, images of the agents, Irena, Agares, and that midget will appear on screen. I was busy talking to my brother on the phone when I discovered this. I looked up and was just like "WTF?" Quick note: the menu doesn't actually disappear at all, so that will still burn into your screen. |
